About the Role
We’re looking for a Consultant to join our Ottawa team, working directly with clients to build and execute government relations strategies and manage stakeholder relationships across party lines.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • University degree
  • Experience on Parliament Hill (ministerial or MP office, or similar) or at a government relations/public affairs consultancy
  • Knowledge about national political and policy trends, basic federal electoral processes and decision-making systems
  • Existing networks and relationships on Parliament Hill
  • Strong writing skills
  • Bilingualism (English/French) an asset but not required
  • Lived Indigenous experience is an asset but not required
  • Knowledge and experience about or with provincial or territorial governments is an asset but not required
  • Must work from Ottawa
  • Eligible to register and lobby under the Lobbying Act

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute government relations strategies for a diverse client roster
  • Build and maintain relationships with elected officials, political staff, and public servants
  • Monitor legislative and policy developments relevant to client interests
  • Draft briefing notes, issue analyses, and stakeholder communications
  • Support client meetings, Hill Day logistics, and advocacy campaigns
