We support meaningful partnerships between Indigenous organizations and government stakeholders, helping to advance initiatives in areas such as self-determination, economic development, infrastructure, and social policy.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Proposal Writer to lead and support the development of high-quality proposals, grant applications, and related communications materials. The ideal candidate has experience working in or with Indigenous communities or organizations and can translate complex ideas into persuasive, well-structured written content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research, write, and edit proposals, grant applications, RFP responses, and related materials.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather technical input, develop project plans, and align proposals with strategic goals.
  • Ensure proposals are compliant and meet high standards for clarity, structure, and tone.
  • Maintain and update a repository of proposal templates, bios, case studies, and boilerplate content.
  • Track funding opportunities and assist in managing submission timelines and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience writing successful proposals for our prospective clients.
  • Strong understanding of government funding, especially at the federal and provincial levels in Canada.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Lived experience or direct work with Indigenous communities or organizations is a strong asset.
  • Degree in communications, public policy, English, or related field is preferred.
